Richard Price, Chairman, founded Richard Price Television Associates in 1968, trading for 27 years as RPTA until in 1980, when it evolved into the Primetime Group, which was to become the largest independent distributor in the UK. The Primetime Group was sold to Southern Star (Australia) in 1998 and Richard reverted to RPTA Ltd.

Richard is a former Chairman of the British Academy of Film & Television Arts (BAFTA) and a Fellow of the Royal Television Society (RTS). Richard was awarded the MBE in the New Year Honours of 2000.

He is Chairman of The Performance Company, a director of DCD Media plc, and Vice-Chairman of the national charity for people with learning difficulties, the Home Farm Trust.

He was Chairman of Watermill Theatre, Newbury, for 6 years up to October 2007 - during the successful 3 million appeal and during which 6 productions transferred to the West End and 1 to Broadway.
